You will need:

Update in Desktop App

Step 1: Update Video Settings (See Image below)

  1. Go to Settings (via the Desktop app ONLY)
    1. You can download here or via link above.
  2. Go to Video on the left side bar
  3. Ensure that HD is CHECKED
  4. Ensure ‘Touch up my appearance’ is UNCHECKED
  5. UNCHECK ‘Always display participants name on their video’

Step 2: Update where recordings are SAVED, if needed

  1. To choose the location were your files will be saved, click “Change” and select your preferred folder location

Step 3: Stop mic level from auto-adjusting

  1. Go to Settings then Audio
  2. Under “Audio Profile” please check the following

    1. Select “Original Sound for Musicians”
    2. High fidelity music mode
    3. Echo cancellation

Step 4: Changing your virtual background image

On Desktop:

  1. Go to Settings then Recording
  2. Select Backgrounds & Filters
  3. Upload your desired image file by clicking the + sign on the right-hand side below the video preview
  4. Select Add image, then upload the file
  5. Select the file to be used and check if it appears as desired from the preview
  6. If you don’t have a specific background file, choose Blur your background

On mobile:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
  2. While in a Zoom meeting, tap More in the controls.
  3. Select Background and Effects.
  4. Tap + to upload a new image. It will be applied automatically.
  5. Alternatively, choose Blur if you don’t have a background to upload
  6. Tap Close to return to the meeting.

Notes:
The selected background will be used for future meetings.

Step 5: Remove Participant Names

  1. Untick Display participant’s name in the recording & Add a Timestamp
